Rats are horrible, awful, and truly disgusting creatures. As such, it is my duty to bring to the attention of the masses how despicable these rodents truly are while - ironically, mind you - teaching you how to best take care of them and what steps to take before and after adopting one, two, or maybe seven, as a pet. As an ironic rat owner for about six months now and as the future husband of a wonderful girl who unironically owns more rats than she can hold in four hands, I see it as my solemn duty to inform and direct those who would do the same and bring these mischievous monsters into their homes.Things that are likely to be covered in this blog are housing, food, health, and plenty of other things that anyone who would ironically own a pet rat. As well, most rodents tend to require the same treatment and supplies and that will likely be touched on whenever possible so that if rats aren't your cup of tea (which they shouldn't be, just look at them!) then maybe you'd feel better with a hamster or something.
I look forward to reading this blog and learning more about rats, as I was once looking into getting a pair for my little sister and myself (we decided on Guinea Pigs instead though). I've always thought rats were pretty cute and interesting (just the ones in the pet trade though). I look forward to reading about the proper care and maintenance of these little creatures. Keep up the good work and I look forward to future blogs.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see more content. I think rats are really awesome animals, and it's sad that they have such a bad reputation. There's a big difference between wild pest and a tame pet, and I think that most people think that all rats are diseased and dirty. I'd like to have a rat of my own one day, but I'll have to wait until I move out and get my own place. I appreciate that you're giving advice on how to care them; if I ever get to adopt one, I'll need to do some research.
